Professional Portfolio

As you can see from the portfolio section of this web page, my primary focus is capturing images for use in commercial applications, such as advertising and illustrations. The photography on this site is only a sampling of my work meant to demonstrate my style. If you're looking for a particular subject matter, please just email me tom.cane@raventrue.com.

Generally, I think you'll find that my work looks at the world in its "natural" state, but with a little twist. I can, of course, capture objects in a staged environment, on a sweep table or in a studio. But I like to show the real world, just a little closer, a little sharper, and maybe a little tilted.

Work for Hire

In addition to the items already in my portfolio, I'm glad to shoot specific subjects at the request of clients, or to travel on-site to do shoots. You'll see a small sampling of such on-site commercial shoots in my portfolio.

"Would you take pictures of my kids / grand kids / pets / party?"

Yes! But I refuse to ask anyone to smile. Taking pictures of your loved ones is about capturing each person's uniqueness. And, frankly, people who are having fun look like their having fun. There's no need to coax them to smile. In general, it's my strong preference to take pictures of people on site, at a party, outside on a playground, in the backyard with the dog, or anywhere else they're having fun and not focused on the camera. I think if you scroll through the pictures in the portfolio you'll agree that the results are worth the extra effort on my part.
